Diante sounds like a nice kid who was getting pulled around by all the college coaches until his family had a nice talk and settled on Oregon. It was about time that a family pulled someone to Oregon instead of away. Diante looks like he could be a playmaker at receiver that the Ducks haven't had in a while.
"He finally called me and said, 'Mom, I just realized I want to go to Colorado but Oregon is the best place for me to be,'" Kimberly Rogers said.
LOL I'll take it.
That is one of the strangest statements from a recruit that I've seen.
I think it shows how good of a head this kid has on his shoulders. Instead of making a decision based on his emotions he made a decision based on what he knew was best for him. We all know that making a decision based on what we are feeling at the time or what our emotions are saying doesn't always turn out the best. Sounds like a smart, mature kid.
I think this decision shows that we got a good player. His maturity to withstand all of the pressure and emotions that come with the recruitment process shows when he said Oregon is the best place for me. He actually sat down and talked with his family and found good reasons to come to Oregon even though Colorado was offering some good things also. He also has a good family around him since they went with him on all of his visits and helped to discuss his future with the academic advisors. His family will be welcomed by Oregon fans since they seem like very good people.
