Well your problem is your using Scout.com, Rivals is much more accurate & realistic.

That's debatable. Rivals tends to put more money into scouting, but they also seem to ignore much of the west coast. I read on the rivals' MB where someone did a study over a five year stretch and scout ended up being the more accurate of the two. I didn't see the study, so I can't say whether or not it was legitimate. My main point is that your statement is very open to debate.

As to the "our days are numbered" comment, no, that's not true. A recruiting class does not and never will equal wins. Oregon State is a great example of this. They get shitty classes annually, and yet almost always compete with us. Notre Dame is another one. They never ever ever get a bad class, and look how good they are. It's easy to tell if you just watch the Ducks for the last few years that we're on the upswing.

I totally agree with this statement. Scout or rivals can give you the vitals & I'm sure do the best they can at the rest, but with so many players in the country only a few are going to get the spotlight. So many of these kids these days are measured only by squats and 40 times that my mind goes numb. In my opinion, give me the dude that maybe doesn't look like much or doesn't have the motivation to run for thier silly computers, but has heart, desire and a healthy respect for the game. I'll take a 2 or 3 star guy playing every game with a chip on his shoulder over some of these 5 star guys that seem like they are already looking ahead to the next level. Look at the contributions from the Juco players during this last season. That's exactly what i'm talking about they have been there played the game for 10,000 people and still came with it evey game to get to the next level. Oh well this rant has gone on too long already. The star and recruiting class debate makes me crazy, i know, i know it's all we have to run with.

Yeah you're right. I was partly joking just because I prefer Rivals mostly because of it's lay out & rating system.

I prefer the ESPN rankings. You get a fairly detailed write up on the players. Giving you a better since of what there strengths and weakness are. Although I think all of the scouting services favor the east coast recruits.

I completely agree jhop...ESPN is way behind the others but Greg B is top notch he knows the west coast recruits. I really miss his old forum thru Student Sports, before they were bought by ESPN, it was filled with juicy recruiting news!
