We are in the hunt and easily his top two if not top school.
He's not a big Whipple fan, and Miami missed on every OL Bryce was keeping an eye on. We are solid and Miami is shooting themselves in the foot here. USC I don't think steals this one. But I'd watch out for KState or Tenn on a surprise.
Hang tight we are in this, and the Brian Butler deal is his own thing, not really a reflection on Bryce himself as he is a pretty solid young man, we'd be lucky to have him.

Anyone ever considered something like the "cameron colvin" effect???? Colvin picked the ducks live on espn and half of autzen (including myself) nearly shot a load off onto their leather couch upon the news of a massive blue chip coming to eugene.

My point is:

Brown is rated the No 1 RB in the country, thats great. ANYTHING can happen between now and whenever his college career ends, hopefully that ANYTHING is positive and with the ducks. Obviously we want him, obviously he has at least some interest in us, and we (duck fans) have NO CONTROL over the situation.

Everyone, lets take a collective deep breath, cross our fingers, and have faith that with or without Mr Brown's services our team/coaching staff/community has what it takes to be an elite contender for years to come.

Kansas State? Did anyone here look at their current recruiting class? Yikes!!!!

No kidding. Kansas State had the 111th ranked recruiting class in the country according to Scout.com. No wonder they are so desperate to get Chris Harper from the Ducks.

Even with Butler back on the K-State payroll, I can't imagine Bryce being brainwashed enough to get involved with a program that appears to have such a dismal outlook for the foreseeable future.

Sounds like ESPN retracted the story during the following program. So nothing new has happend.

If you're right, then Brown should be welcome here. But if there's any indication Butler is a tag-along and intends to come to Eugene with Brown, then Bellotti/Kelly need to put the hammer down and bar the door to that clown or even pull Brown's offer. He is trouble for Brown, for Oregon and for anyone associated with him. Maybe Bryce is a good kid and is just attracting the dregs because of his lofty status as the top HS recruit this year. Even so, it doesn't speak well of his judgement to let someone like this leech onto him in a parasitic manner.

I wouldn't worry about Butler. Like I said, he makes his money off these Kansas recruits. Byrce is just one of many that he is "advising" & overseeing their recruitment. He didn't follow Arthur Brown to Miami or Chris Harper here, all kids he advised, so I see no reason for nim to follow Bryce. He would be walking away from his income, something I don't think he would ever do.

This seems kind of the Ryan Periloux situation. A supremely talented kid that had his college career ruined by outside influences. Although, Ryan had a lot more Character issues than Bryce appears to. I still think that Brown is worth the risk.

First, I don't see what reason Butler would have for following Brown to Eugene. Why would he do that?

Second, even if he did, what harm would it cause? It's not like he would be allowed on the field, at closed practices, meetings, etc.

I'll put 20 bucks on him going to Miami no matter what he or anyone else says.

Brian Butler's entire business relies on the Miami programing showing "interest" in all his clients.
