The players Kent had brought in were flashy, big-name guys who didn't have a lot of polish on the finer aspects of the game. I think that Altman will get some of the big-name guys, but ones that are actually well-versed in the fundamentals of the game. He will probably also bring in some under-the-radar type guys who don't have big numbers or been to all the AAU tournaments, but have the right skillset for what Altman wants to run.

There aren't very many highschoolers who are "polished" fundamentally...... This is were are coaches come into play...... hopefully Altman and his staff can raise the bar in this department.

I know most don't have a lot of polish but they can at least be decent in most of the fundamentals of the game, instead of just good in one and cr@p in a lot of the others.

Here is my prediction. Dana will recruit a 2-3 star player that blows up in his style of play, and gets drafted high. This starts turning recruits heads towards us, and we start getting Chip Kelly type recruiting classes in 3-5 years.

I actually feel the same way. The sooner the EK era players are cleared out, the better IMO. We will suffer for it this year but we going to have a bad year regardless. This gives DA a bunch of schollies to fill with HIS players, not EK's cast offs. The turn around could definitely end up happening quicker if right away the team is filled with guys DA recruited. Rather than filling the roster over a few years as EK's guys graduate.

And I think we really won't be that bad this year. I wouldn't surprised to see us be right around last years win-loss record. Which would be really good considering. And if we're not? It really doesn't matter. As long as DA does a good job in recruiting by bringing in guys who, like oregontrack said, are good basketball players. Not guys who have a bunch of stars by their name just because they can dunk really good.
