i saw on matt's twitter that Longmire and Dungian is not on roster anymore. not sure if its true or not.

The Register Guard ran a story about that with Altman and the athletic department confirming that. If you go to goducks.com, they are not on the roster anymore.

Can I just say this -- Finally, someone gave a recruit a current hat to put on! Watching those US Army All-American games and having some weird UO hat always drives me crazy. Welcome Jabari.

Army game is run by Russell Athletics so the recruits aren't allowed to use authentic nike gear.

The key to this commit may be in part the parents. The J Center is starting to work some magic and the parents obviously have an academic interest in where JB goes to school.

Maybe it's just me, but I really wonder if the guys that are lining up for Lavin at St. John's will ever reach their full potential... I know he had great classes at his previous post, but lost the job for failing to reach the Promised Land.

Depends what kind of potential you mean... Lavin has a good track record of developing individual talent and sending kids to the NBA, but his team building was often lacking.

No actually Lavin sucked and developing talent, and his coaching is suspect that's why UCLA canned him and no one even bothered to offer him a job for the last half a decade. He was always a awesome recruiter, but beyond that he is the Les Miles of college basketball.

I say all that, and i actually like the guy, but it's true, he has poor game management skills and guys never reached their potential under him.

That was pretty much what I was insinuating... It's hard to imagine he learned how to develop talent sitting on the sidelines the last 6-7 years.

I bet he doesn't last that long at St. John's but he may since they don't have the kind of expectations that UCLA has.
