Re: Bryce Brown "Very Interested" in LSU Tigers...
Whether he is truly "very interested" in LSU or not, is really up for Bryce Brown to determine. Based on the article, he is very interested in possibly visiting.
Like all the teams that Bryce Brown is considering, there are a lot of strenths with LSU. That said, while LSU's depth chart isn't quite as deep as say, USC, it still is fairly deep. They have their two primary RB's coming back this next year (one of them who is a 1,000-yard rusher), a kid who will be a sophomore who was a 4-star out of HS ... AND they already have the #3 RB commit this year, who has already signed a LOI, and is a 5-star guy.
Now, I don't think that Bryce Brown will necessarily be "afraid" of various depth charts, and competition. From some of the things he has said, and my overall read, he doesn't necessarily want to go to a school where he will just be handed the job, have no competition, and will be looked at as the "man," or the "savior," for that school. To me, that rules out a school like KSU. On the flip side, I don't think his best interest is to go to a school that has deep returning RB talent, and/or highly rated commits that are comparable to him. From that perspective, that would rule out schools like USC and Miami ... possibly even LSU.
Obviously all of this isn't that simple, and there are many other factors he will be considering. That said, if the above analysis is correct, it would come down to Tennessee and Oregon, and Bryce Brown has already said himself that he doesn't feel Tennessee and Lane Kiffen have the other talent to make successful what he wants to do (OL, QB, etc). All and all . . . we'll see what happens . . . but I think a strong argument can be made as to why Oregon is the best school for Bryce Brown to commit to, if he were to only look at the RB situation, along with the overall team analysis. We'll see . . .

I'm 18, a very strong Christian & for the most part I don't go around checking girls out. The Bible says to look at a woman in lust is to commit adultry. Adultry is a sin. So if you consider yourself a Christian you really shouldn't go around looking for chicks you wanna "nail". There's a difference between being "spiritual" & actually being a Christian. Like I said, if he's the strong Christian he makes himself out to be the other school's "talent" won't be an issue.TualatinDuck wrote:Are you really trying to say that when you were 17-18, you werent walking around wondering which chicks you saw that you may or want to nail? I know for me, if it had boobs, the thought crossed my mind to hit it. Faith does not change that.

The "talent" comments are funny... I think it would probably be safe to assume that the level of "talent" on college campuses around the nation is fairly similar. Not counting some of the AZ/CA/FLA schools of course. Point being, there are pretty co-ed's on every campus and any kid, recruit or not, would be an idiot to choose a school based on the "talent" level...
Hahaha, funny topic...

If a kid makes a major life decision to sign a LOI with a school when his primary factor in the decision is how hot the girls look.... well then good riddance because he's likely not to be able to finish school anyway. Their head needs to be in the right place.
I have a strong feeling that BB is taking these last two visits to compare the schools to Oregon. I truly believe that we are the team to beat. I'm just crossing my fingers that something fresh in his mind doesn't change it at the last second... (see Tahj Boyd).

Not sure this matters to Brown, but there aren't many African Americans in Eugene or Oregon. I'm sure some recruits take that into consideration when deciding between Oregon and other schools.

Sometimes I am truly amazed at how a simple sarcastic comment (re:talent) can spark such an insane deep religious conversation on a FOOTBALL forum. Some people need to lighten up.

There is a difference between admiring a young lady and walking around looking for girls to "nail".
