What a difference a half makes? Shooting over 50% now from 3-pt range. Catron and Singler look like they'll be carrying us until Jacob gets back.

Wow we are going to lose North Dakota St....
I think my prediction of 10 wins may have been optimistic.
Have to feel bad for Altman. Good thing 2011 should be a fun season.

But at least they are still playing hard after a poor first half. A Kent-coached team would have folded already.

Altman is a good coach but he doesn't have much to work with. Could you imagine this squad with Kent coaching, it would be a lot worse.

Ya I definitely don't blame Altman. Without Jacob, this isn't even a D1 quality roster. This team is going to get annihilated by UCSB.
It sounds like Strowbridge is Porter part II. He likes to jack up long jumpers early in the shot clock..

Not a bad way to start the Altman era with a OT win. It's true they only beat a Summit League team but any win this season is going to be big.

Good job by Loyd to hit some clutch free throws. No offense to NDSU, but this is pretty sad that we needed to go to overtime to beat them. Clearly, the talent level is the worst we've seen in many years.

loyd with 8 assists. 20 as a team.. didn't see that much last no
who we played. It's going to take that kind of team work to win
any games this year.

15/8/3 with 3 steals, a block, and 2 threes for Teondre. He could be an exciting player to watch. He may be the team's best athlete. It was frustrating last year seeing Kent go with Longmire over Williams.

I was on the fire-Ernie bandwagon back in 2003, I'm FAR from an Ernie apologist, but I would have played Longmire over Teondre last year, too. Teondre's got a lot of promise, but he was lost last season, especially defensively. The true crime was not redshirting him in 08-09. He played meaningful minutes in like six games.
It was a fun game tonight... in the context that it took OT to beat NDSU, anyway.

Gotta disagree. He's an average defender. Longmire was an unbelievably overrated defender. Longmire has terrible basketball IQ. Offensively, Longmire was one of the worst players on the team. Ernie was in love with his veteran players.
