Just a few items on Brown that I found on other sites, in case anyone was interested:

According to some dude on volnation.com, Brown's girlfriend goes to UT. According to dude, Brown has left video messages on her Facebook profile talking about marriage. So, suggesting that it could be serious motivation for UT. Could be total nonsense...

New premium interview on Brown at insidetheu. Talks pretty candidly about Butler, what fans think, etc. Also says something to the effect of, "I don't care what fans think... I have to live it... They just have to sit on the couch and eat popcorn."

...

For the first time since following this, that comment made me cringe. It's true that it's his decision to make. But, wherever he chooses to go, the fact will remain that he will be spending his time doing something a lot more enjoyable than what many others have to do to get by. Playing football, imo, is a privilege that is afforded by fans who sacrifice hard-earned dollars to support a game. At the same time, it's not like he's some experienced media savvy person. I'm sure it would be grating for anyone to have to read some of the harsh comments fans have. I think I would want to get back at those people a bit too. But, hopefully, someone at least advises him that he probably should care that the entire reason the sport of football even exists is due to fan interest. :)

I'm pretty sure on volnation they were talking about his hostess on his visit there, and not an actual girlfriend

By hostess, did you mean Mrs. Kiffen?

That was a cheapshot but I just couldn't help myself.

What are you talking about? When you're 18 your legally an adult and can sign a contract. If you're under 18 it has to be signed by a parent or legal guardian...

Fail

I've just returned after being gone about a month, so have tried to catch up on all I've missed. I don't have all the inside info many of you do so I'm responding to what I have read here concerning Bryce Brown. This is from many threads but I'm putting it all here. I see a young man who is trying to make a major decision in his life and trying to please everyone around him. It is said that his faith is very important to him. I am also a man of faith, but I firmly believe that God cares little about football or who wins a particular game. It was said that JS felt tempted or tests of his faith when he first came to UO. That would be no different anywhere else, including most of your larger religious schools; just a part of leaving home. I doubt JS lost his faith at UO. Certainly KC didn't. I do firmly believe that God cares about each person and wants them to reach or strive for the best in their life. Therefore Bryce, stop worrying about where God wants you to be. He doesn't care. Stop worrying about being away from family. Four or less years is not a long time. His parents should also consider that. The question should be where will I have the most potential for development to get the most at the next level. Consider the last 5* RB that went to the UO. Even if you share the RB position, with the no huddle offense, you get a lot of snaps. UO had two 1000 yd rushers last year and will likely next year, unless more than 1 share backup behind Blount. With a friend here and relationship with CK, this should not be that hard of a decision. Probably only be 3 yrs anyway.

If Bryce is tired of the media circus, he should consider that he wouldn't have to endure nearly half of that debacle playing at Oregon. We're passionate fans, but I would consider that we have much more to live for in our lives as a whole than Duck football.

I had to rewatch Johnny Be Good last night as a tribute and reminder of what some of these kids go through during the recruiting process.
