Re: Oregon @ Washington
So without them we will have, what, 6 guys dressing for the game? Awesome.

Well, both Armstead and Catron are playing.
Today's controversial-but-true opinion: Sim is our best guard. That's why he plays, people.
(first person to bring up Teondre loses. Altman does not consider him a guard)

Re: Oregon @ Washington
Probably not. But we're actually hitting some shots, which is both uncanny and unheard of from this bunch.

Does it seem to anyone else that the refs are giving every call to the Husky's tonight? I don't think that they need any help from the refs to win...

Re: Oregon @ Washington
This is a common frustration with Romar teams, and it's not at all unfounded. They're very aggressive in taking the ball to the hoop, to the point where they can launch themselves into defenders without actually attempting a shot, and still draw a trip to the line. Those old Roy/Conroy/Robinson teams were especially good at this, and it annoyed the s*** out of me. Defensively, they tow the limit of what is and what is not legal, and sometimes get away with pushing and shoving that nobody else in the Pac-10 gets away with. We got called for a travel earlier where Catron had not yet received the ball, got shoved in the back, fell forward, and got called for the walk.duckduckgoose wrote:Does it seem to anyone else that the refs are giving every call to the Husky's tonight? Honestly, while it's annoying as hell to play against, it's downright brilliant strategy by Romar. When you establish yourselves as an aggressive bunch, you get the benefit of a lot of calls.

Re: Oregon @ Washington
Well, we put forth about as good an effort as we could. Hopefully it can transition into a win in at least a game or two. Aside from that...this is pretty much like that first season of an NCAA Dynasty on a video game with an awful team that you basically just simulate all the games because playing them would quite simply be too helpless and depressing to do. It will get better with new guys.

Re: Oregon @ Washington
It's over now that Oregon can't hit a shot now. Catron is the only one still doing anything and that is not a good thing.
