I guess I would take Westview over North Medford, but I'm not married to that. Best game of the tournament should be Jesuit/Central Catholic, both of the previous games were pretty good.

That was UUUUUUUUUGLY! Roseburg apparently left their effort back home because they did not try...... At all...... To Jesuit's credit they were dominating but one would hope they would actually try......right? I mean it's the playoffs is it not?

Hey specht, you ready for Brennan Scarlett to dominate and for Jesuit to not have an answer for him? Better hope that hot perimeter shooting you guys have stays hot....

Scarlett had 6 points the last time CC played Jesuit, Wiltjer had 22. Does CC have an answer for Wiltjer? Scarlett's a big body and has a lot of girth, but he's not much of a scorer.

Semifinals (rankings by final OSAA RPI): #1 Jesuit vs. #5 Central Catholic; #3 North Medford vs. #7 Westview
5A had their quarterfinals today, too: #1 Bend vs. #5 Benson; #2 Corvallis vs. #3 Wilsonville.
Good to see Benson relevant again.

You do realize that was his 2nd game back, right? Wiltjer's legit no doubt and you guys did just s*** all over Roseburg but Scarlett's been playing way better.oregontrack wrote:wait whatgoducks75 wrote:Hey specht, you ready for Brennan Scarlett to dominate and for Jesuit to not have an answer for him? I'm just messing though. Don't get me wrong, I do hate Jesuit still but my hatred is not as strong as it once was (i.e. back in my high school days). I'm good friends with/went to grade school with several key contributors from Jesuit's back to back football titles in '06-'07 and still talk to them. Oh and my cousin went there and I volunteer coach with another Jesuit alum at CC during the summer/early football season. You guys have a hell of a team and it should be a good matchup. It's just a matchup I think we have a better chance in than our previous two games w/o Scarlett/with an unhealthy Scarlett. Especially the past few games against Clackamas/Lincoln he's been providing a very physical presence. Just hope you guys don't break his collarbone again........

Re: Oregon OSAA Basketball Playoffs
Get em North Medford! I'm hoping they can best what we did when i was there, semis 07-08
the one thing i can say for sure is the level of basketball this year is way down from when i was there. graduated 09.
That 08 NM team would crush this NM team. and even my senior year team would beat them. Also the 08 SM team would have killed this years SM team.

I was just poking fun at what I assumed was a playful comment, re: Jesuit not having an answer for Scarlett. Seemed ironic, as the opposite would be more accurate.

Yeah sorry dead week's in the process of kicking my ass big time.
