Based on existing talent and incoming talent. Matt was pretty confident this morning that he's gone.Phenom wrote:Based on what?UOducksTK1 wrote:I'm actually feeling Slusher will probably be gone.lukeyrid13 wrote:Jonny Wilson is 70/30 ASU lean

Huston - no one really knows
Also we have a secret visitor and 4* QB Robby Ashford visiting this weekend
Any guesses on the end of this class?

You would think a 10 win season and a birth in the Rose Bowl would be things kids would want to be a part of. With success some coaches are going to get poached. Seemingly the kids do not place much value on that and only want coaches that stay put. Something that very rarely happens in college football.

On the flip side of that, let's say we get Chip Long from Notre Dame; it's possible we steal 2-3 of their guys in the process. Once Dec 18 and Feb 5 roll around, I think we'll be sitting ~13th in rankings and pretty happy overall.GoDucksIn09 wrote:You would think a 10 win season and a birth in the Rose Bowl would be things kids would want to be a part of. This class likely will have more top end talent and boom or bust type players vs last year which had top end talent and an insane amount of depth. The amount of guys that we hit on last year is unprecedented. DJ James, Jamal Hill, Brandon Dorlus, Dru Mathis, JR Waters(would have), Trikweze Bridges are all 3 star players that played legit minutes at some point this year.

Jamal Hill, Brandon Dorlus, and DJ James were three stars that we added late and they have been absolute home runs. Like Pac-12 quality future starters just plucked at the last minute. I’ll trust the talent evaluators on this staff with results like that.

Re: Any guesses on the end of this class?
The thing to recognize is we aren’t the only school with coaching changes. As the month progresses, coaches at other schools will leave and currently committed guys will become available as a result. As much as it sucks to lose Williams and potentially Wilson, Slusher and Hutson, we could replace them with comparable recruits. Mario has proven to be a closer. I trust him to be even more of a closer in the aftermath of a conference championship and Rose Bowl appearance. The uncertainty sucks given how solid this class had seemingly been all year but I have faith.GoDucksTroll wrote:You’re right on.lukeyrid13 wrote:On the flip side of that, let's say we get Chip Long from Notre Dame; it's possible we steal 2-3 of their guys in the process. According to Wilfong:
-a toss up between Clemson and Oregon for Flowe (USC darkhorse)
-Ducks have made things interesting for Ringo. He might not sign early.
-Ducks lead for Manning going into Georgia trip
Both Manning and Ringo are visiting Georgia this weekend and it’s doubtful that they take both.

It’s confirmed that 4-star QB Robby Ashford, recent Ole Miss decommit is visiting. Dual threat QB out of Alabama powerhouse Hoover.

Kinda thought Oregon had moved on from Elijah Badger but they were out visiting him:

ASU leads for badger, he wants to play receiver and we want him at DB. He’s our backup option for Avantae Williams but unlikely we get him due to position difference.

I’m sure we take him at WR if we lose Wilson.

Has anyone heard who the surprise visitor was supposed to be this weekend?
