GrandpaDuck. I'll be running recruiting.
Based on them trying to get more local enthusiasm for the team and get back to playing downtown again, I wonder if they would try to hire someone like Ryan Gunderson. My preference would be someone that is a proven winner at a lower level, like Joseph Smith from Linfield. (I think they should've hired Jay Locey when they got rid of Burton).

The Montana State coach announced that he was staying put, which is generally the indicator that he didn't land the job at Oregon State. We'll find out who they picked soon.

Not a good look that of their public top 3, Vigen stayed, Chryst took his name out and Mora took another P12 job instead.

Guess it'll be JaMarcus Shephard?

Canzano reported that they also interviewed Wilcox, but he's out. With NSD #1 next week, I've gotta think we are gonna hear a lot of news about coaching hires after this week's games.

I'm now guessing Smith stays another year at MSU, in large part due to the reported $30MM buyout if they fire him. But if the Spartans were to lose at home to Maryland (MSU is favored by a few) -- making for a winless conference season -- the pressure to fire him and eat the $30MM might be too great.

Ducks go to East Lansing next year, btw.

Where was that reported? I haven't been following too closely. The probability is much higher that they choose someone other than Vigen rather than Vigen passing on the job.

Drinkwitz signed a 6 year extension to stay at Missouri. Does anyone want this Penn State job? LOL.

According to the betting markets, the James Madison coach is the favorite.

That's a hell of a leap. I imagine he'll be on a short leash

If its not the Alabama WR coach then they are in a bad spot as far as their top options go.

It IS JaMarcus Shephard as the new OSU coach:

https://www.espn.com/college-football/s ... egon-state

It will be interesting to see what his coaching staff looks like, given the guys he has coached under in his career and the coaches he would've worked with previously.

Just based on his body language during this game, it sure looks like Lane Kiffin is gonna leave Ole Miss for LSU. I get the prestige of a program like LSU, but having traveled to both Oxford, MS and Baton Rouge, LA for work multiple times...I will say that I liked Oxford, MS a lot more than Baton Rouge.

Maybe Ol' Miss will hire Brian Kelly?

:-)

Stanford hires Tavita Pritchard as its next HC.
