"Real Steel"... 8/10.
Rockem' Sockem' Robots, anyone?
Choreography of the final fight scenes reminds one of some of the Stallone stuff from the "Rocky" series.

I liked it, but gotta be honest. Kate from lost sucked it up acting in this moving.

The soundtrack from Hanna by the Chemical Brothers made that movie.

"Dream House", Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz
I give it an 8. Psycho/supernatural/muder mystery with a twist ending you probably will figure out if you pay attention.

Exit Through the Gift Shop: 10/10. One of my favorite documentaries ever. It's on Netflix Instant if you have it.

I liked Buried too, and for the same reason; they stuck with their premise all the way. 127 Hours kinda fell short IMO there, too many cutaways and flashbacks.
Worst movie ever...you should all be buried alive for suggesting otherwise!

Dat Shi+ Cray! (and that's all I have to say)
9/10

One of the finer pieces of animation I've laid my eyes on. I've slept on this movie for a cool minute (and after watching, don't really know why). It's definitely up there with the Akira's, Ghost in the Shell's, and Ninja Scroll's of the world.
8/10
YT link, good quality too...

Underworld: Awakening (6/10)
A lot of action with not enough story or dialogue. I like the whole series so I still enjoyed this. The police officer story in the movie seems out of place and weird.
Contraband (6/10)
I liked this, but not really enough to say you have to see it. If it were on TV some day or you happen to rent the dvd then you'll enjoy it. There was just something about it I still can't figure out that I didn't like. Perhaps it was how easy it was to fool US Customs at the end. Kate Beckinsale's role was just so-so as well.

Lorax - Solid 7.5/10
John Carter - C'mon Disney. I swear this is like Cowboys & Aliens mixed with Star Wars. I was fairly entertained, but they can do better. 6/10

Having read nearly all the Burroughs genre as a kid, 40+ years ago, I will probably watch "John Carter", just to see if it is any better than earlier incarnations... Honestly, if you read the books, the basic plot line is pretty "over the top".

Sherlock Holmes 2, 9/10...Love these movies!
The Grey 8/10 Great movie, really enjoyed it but the wolves were a little over the top for me.
Act of Valor 8/10 Excellent movie, acting fell short but I give them a pass considerting most of the the guys in the movie weren't actors and my buddy I went with his HS friend is one of the Seals in the movie...too funny.
Movies I want to see are...
John Carter Warlord of Mars...Like Wounded (I'm 42), I grew up reading the books and comics and having been waiting for a movie version for a very long time.
Abraham Lincoln Vampire Sayler...looks fricking fantastic!

Plan to see all of the above... Despite the knee jerk reaction by animal rights activists, re: the portrayal of wolves in "The Grey"... People need to realize this is entertainment, not reality.

I just saw it last night. All I knew going in to it is that it is an older book and people have been trying to sell it as a movie for years.
I LOVED IT! As far as the 3D effects, I think that they were the best I’ve seen so far (prior to that I thought it was Tron) and that probably added a lot to my enjoyment.
But I also loved the story line. I’ll probably be going back soon to watch it with my ole lady.

Just saw John Carter (Warlord) of Mars and it was great (solid 8/10), I went in with certain expectations and it lived up to them...so the question is why is it failing at the boxoffice damn it I want a part two!
A couple of tidbits...they tweeked the story (but it didn't hurt the story) for his travel to Mars and omitted one of the main races (for part 2 I'm guessing) so I am certain they are planning more movies but if this movie keeps faultering at the boxoffice who knows....sad.
Wounded activists, really? I'm shocked! Aren't there better things to complain about going on around the world? I think they have a little too much time on their hands...
