Wilson is a running QB, have to have anticipated it, or you shouldn't be coachingSuperDuck wrote:We're just young in the secondary and Utah is exploiting it. Booker is a great back with a great O-line. Wilson's running has to be something the Ducks never anticipated, especially with his shoulder injury.
We're obviously going to take a step back for 1-2 years, but we'll still be very good - just not national championship caliber. Growing pains happen to every team in college football.

Not enough pressure is too simple, we don't have Wilson upset at all, way to relaxed and eating us up. We need a 4-3Brophdog88 wrote:we PUT pressure on the QB tonight...the corners got exposed 1 on 1Alan wrote:Not against Neal, we need to overhaul our Defensive scheme, but pressure on the QB....... We've had tons of top secondary talent yet never a top pass D. I don't want Neal anywhere near the reigns. I think it is pretty clear, Hegarty is a serious downgrade. There is a reason ND let him walk.

Yea, it's probably 41-41 right now with Marcus, or at least within 7. Then when the offense and defense gets tired because they can't keep pace that's when the ducks go for the throat.OregonFan4Life wrote:Yeah but he put up points and put more pressure on opposing offenses.fpsduck wrote:I don't remember Marcus playing defenseAlan wrote:Yes!FlDuckFan wrote:Did Marcus really spoil us that much?

My wife and I were asking that. So far, it's only Freeman with touches.FlDuckFan wrote:Have we seen Tony James or any of the other RB's?

Re: Utah @ Oregon (Saturday 5:45 PM FOX)
That's a lame excuse, because part of the responsibility of coaches is to DEVELOPE and PREPARE players, I'm seeing players like Joe Walker and Rodney Hardrick get worse. Maybe Helf's philosophy of getting a bunch of reps during camp is a bad idea, cause it's clear they don't play disciplined football. Maybe they should be like Bama and take less reps but focus on perfection.Alan wrote:Couldn't agree more! Very accurate statement. Tonight isn't about the coaching (except starting Vernon). The defensive calls haven't been that bad, it's mostly missed assignments and our corners getting killed 1 v 1Everythingsducky wrote:The real fans demand something better than high school coaching. There is not that disparity in talent between these teams, so it is all on the coaches, no question.chapelhillduck wrote:So I guess now we find out who the real fans are
