He's accepting a greyshirt so it still looks like he'll be at Bama.

True, but he's the 118th ranked recruit and they tell him they are waiting on someone they feel is better. I don't understand how these kids think. If I were the kid I'd go to a rival and play with a massive chip on my shoulder from day one.

Yea with all the major programs out there desperate for quality players to start on day one, why in the world you'd defer a year cause a program didn't want you as bad as they wanted another kid is beyond me.

They think I get to play for Saban and Alabama and maybe win a couple of NCs and then move on to the NFL. Hard to fault a young kid for thinking that way. I am more upset at the coaches and they way they treat these young kids. The Sabans and Meyers of the coaching world are a disgrace in their treatment of kids. I get it its a big business but it is still BS.

Sucks but things will be fine, the coaches will have a full year of recruiting this next class which will be a bigger than normal one and will be better able to get these kind of impact players. This is why I never buy into the inside information people have because when it doesn't happen we are all upset and the sky is falling. I would rather be pleasantly surprised not thinking a guy is coming here and does, ie DAT It is very difficult to get a guy over USC but considering everything these coaches were up against it made it even more challenging.
