Wasn't it J Hop that pretty much guaranteed that KT would end up at Bama last season? If so then he can't be too much of a homer. I have a limited perspective but he does seem to be accurate quite often, but certainly not 100% of the time.

Now Blair Angulo is saying that Ringo won't sign early. CMC convinced him to wait. That's gotta be good news?

J Hop definitely tends to make a lot of homer picks. Not sure Flowe is coming but it seems as if Manning is. One thing about Ringo is that his moms most recent twitter follows are Duck staff. Could be something, could be nothing.

Oh yah, he certainly isn't right 100% of the time. Even our coaches don't know 100% of the time. I do think the coaches are strategic with what they share with him and other insiders.

I agree with the posts already ahead (JHop is a super fan [like every single recruitnik], though still most plugged in of available sources). The one thing I would add is that he's the most plugged in WITH THE OREGON STAFF. I view his insight as being reflective of the Oregon side of things.

I point that out because the staff is obviously pretty plugged in, but sometimes nobody knows what a kid is going to do except for himself, maybe parents, and/or maybe close friends. Justin doesn't really have those connections in the way that Biggins and a couple others often do. And so since JHop is getting his info from essentially a single source, his info is inherently biased.

Ex.- Ringo may be giving Oregon coaches the vibe he's a Duck. He may be giving Georgia coaches the same vibe, so they think he's a bulldog. Each team's insiders think he's going there, bc they're plugged into the staff. One is right and one is wrong.

I think this is right on.

There are two sources of information on recruiting: coaching staffs and the recruit/family. The coaching staffs may believe something completely different, it's happened plenty of times when they were waiting for a fax and instead see the kid put on another hat in a ceremony. Last year Jeremiah Criddell didn't even know where he was going until he went on TV to announce.

So they'll sign binding letters of intent with Oregon with the understanding that the University won't release that information along with other recruit info?

So after the likely subtractions of Wilson, Slusher, Figgins and Latu, we will have 18 in the 2020 class. Between recruits and/or transfers, do we fill the 25 spot maximum?

Probably pretty close. At the end of the day, we have an "SEC style" staff, which means that if there's a recruit who they like better than a guy on the roster, they're not against processing.

Rumor this morning was Oregon circled back to Darnell Washington and he didn't hang up the phone so to speak.....and then later today, Washington said he wouldn't be signing tomorrow.
