FR Ryan Pellum is entering the portal. Rumors floating around he had a DUI recently. Have to think Oregon will be bringing multiple receivers in from the portal given they've lost Tez, Holden, and Pellum and could also be losing Stewart and Bryant.

Nothing concrete but a couple writers who cover Oregon tweeted out on Jan. 1st they couldn't find him and Pellum during warmups or the game. Usually that means players are away from the program and potentially about to transfer.

Malik Benson looks like a fine #3 receiver. Not super fast, but good speed. Not great after contact, but not bad, as he can make some moves but he's wirey and sort of easy to bring down. His best trait is he has a solid ability to make contested catches, which is a quarterback's favorite thing. Think Dwayne Stanford but smaller.

If Evan Stewart comes back, you're looking at a starting lineup of Stewart, Lowe, and Benson, with McClellan, Kasper, and Moore coming off the bench. That's not bad. Whether it's a "good" or "great" depends on whether Stewart, Lowe, or some of those bench guys can make a move to 'elite' next season.

Why 'there goes the neighborhood'? If the coaches thought this would cause issues with team chemistry I would guess they would pass

Maybe someone like Dickey takes a big step this offseason and plays to his potential, he could be a late bloomer like Colvin if he sticks around.

Colvin started as a FR and SO before injuries as a JR and SR - Dickey is absolutely nothing like Cam as a WR so far and frankly, that's not a good thing for his chances.

We have a lot of "smaller" WRs right now so I see Benson as being a larger body, like STU said, someone who can win some contested catches as I think he'll likely compete with Kasper as he comes back from his injury.

Agree with this assessment.

Honest opinion here- I think the jury is out on Dickey. Not sure he will reach his potential. The fact he remains somewhat buried on the depth chart is telling at this point.

I have no insights but he has not surfaced even on the two deep that I am aware of.

Certainly hope he shines.
