If I could put any 5 on the court, here's my lineup.

PG - Gary Payton
SG - Michael Jordan
SF - LeBron James
PF - Karl Malone
C - Bill Russell

I'll take flak for The Glove but I think he better compliments that line-up than Magic does because he's a better shooter and imo would work better off the ball with two other ball-dominant players in LeBron and Mike.

Phenom, I think you're confusing the lineup lists as a "best ever lists" when its a reference to the positions on the court [PG=1, SG=2, SF=3, PF=4, C=5] which is why Magic is at the top because he's playing the Point for those teams.

Anybody who doesn't have Tim Duncan as their all time PF should just give up talking basketball.

PG: MagicJohnson
SG: Michael Jordan
SF: Julius Erving
PF: Tim Duncan
C: Kareem Abdul Jabbar

You're so right, he's the only possible choice anyone could possibly make...

Nobody could make a quality argument for any other PF, not Malone, not Barkley, not Garnett.

Well, mine probably has the most outliers, but I don't think I can think of a more athletic team.

PG- Oscar Robertson
SG- Michael Jordan
SF- Lebron James
PF- Karl Malone
C- Hakeem Olajuwon

Hyperbole much? It's not like Malone isn't 2nd in points scored, and 1st in Free Throws Made and Defensive Boards for the entire NBA. Further, other than his time with Robinson, Duncan plays the 5.

Pg- Oscar Robinson averaged a triple double in a season, how can you not put him here.
Sg- MJ
SF-LBJ
PF-Duncan, the man can do it all, and is also the ultimate team guy. There is a hand full of guys you can make an argument for, but Malone isn't one of them.

He's played along side other centers over the years.. He plays and defends both positions.. exceptionally well. Which is a big reason why he has four rings and is considered by most the greatest of all time.

Malone was an average defender and he didn't offer anything in rim protection.

I like this list. Center position is more debatable, but how many wins does this team get? 70? 75? 80?

Cause he did it the 60's... I'm pretty sure Magic Johnson could have had a triple double career average back then.
