If one fight's not enough, another story broke Thursday detailing an incident involving defensive end Sam Montgomery and quarterback Zach Mettenberger. The East Baton Rouge Parish district attorney said he is pursuing charges against two men involved in a June 5 fight with Montgomery and Mettenberger in which a loaded gun was pointed at the players.
According to an LSU police report, Montgomery and Robert Davis, 31, got into a fight following an argument in the parking lot of the West Campus Apartments, and Davis’ friend, Marcus Adams, pulled out a gun. Mettenberger tried to intervene and Adams pointed the gun at him, the report says.

Does ANYONE ever wonder over to “The Other Guys” board!!!!
By the way...if you live on Alaska Street and you are driving around past 2 with a gun, you are up to no good.
Bud I know as a moderator in training board integrity is important.
I do have a tip though in case you haven't already found it. This board has a great feature that not everyone uses. Right between the banner and the ads, below where it says "last visit" there are links in green labeled "View unanswered posts | View Active topics". Same line but to the right is "View unread posts | View new posts | View your posts. Using these filters ("View active topics" is my favorite) you see all the hot stuff regardless of which forum it is posted in. Great time saver. Those of us who use this are barely aware of the sub boards.

Out at least the first game is my guess, if charges stick, could be the career.
I have mixed feelings...frustrated as hell at his ups and downs in games, but the team was preparing for this HUGE game with him as the starter.
Cowherd or not,,, I hope he plays but feel he won't .
By the way, you Duck fans on this board are some of the most level-headed folks I've come across on the interwebz...sympathy for another fan base's situation just ain't what you see in the SEC. As you all have said, you''ve been through a lot.
Let's hope it's a great game.
9 days, 4 hours, 4 minutes...
We've had a lot of practice being in your shoes these past 2 years!

Clownzano calling for Miles to suspend JJ immediately without allowing due process on the police investigation. Which confirms that the man is dense not just when it concerns the Ducks. http://www.oregonlive.com/sports/oregon ... ng_of.html

Send him this link and ask him if he the fact that the good old marine threw the first punch changes his opinion.
BATON ROUGE, La. -- Two employees of the bar where LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson and three teammates are accused of injuring four people in a parking lot brawl said Thursday that one of the victims "threw the first punch" shortly after he had been escorted outside by staff.
In an interview with The Associated Press, Shady's Bar general manager John Peak and door manager Jordan Neldare offer versions of the bar fight that differ from details in a police report released Thursday. Neldare said he was outside and witnessed the fight firsthand but had not yet been interviewed by police.
Neldare, however, said fighting involving Lowery had already begun when the truck pulled up sharply to the edge of the melee.
"That truck stopped right in the middle of the whole altercation," he said.

Hackzano's always telling other people what they should do. He's all knowing and all seeing of course...... In his own little egotistical brain.

Nothing changes his opinion. He's like a political radio host. Once he makes a stance there is no flip flopping regardless of the facts you throw at him contrary to his stated opinion.
Sympathies to the LSU fans on this board. We feel your pain & hope everything dies down soon. It's unfortunate when kids do dumb things, but let's hope they've all learned something.
Looking forward to the game!!
P.S. I was thinking about how I would feel if this were happening to the Beavers and I've got to be honest that I wouldn't be as sympathetic at all considering their fan base.
