I grew up in Alameda. Lived on Haight St. til I was about 10. Left there about 1987 or so.
Lived in that neighborhood for awhile, on Lincoln Ave. right where Wood St. deadends into it, just around the corner from where Haight deadends into 9th Street. Went to Washington elementary and spent lots of time on the train in Washington Park. Way back in the 60's.

I went to Washington elementary in the 80's!
It's weird. Last time I went back, that place is like apartment city. I was young and lived in a house, but it just seems like there wasn't that many apartments back then. Now that's all you see.
