"Spring of 2007, Garcia was suspended twice from practice after being arrested in February for public intoxication and, in March, for keying a professor's car.[2] These charges were dropped after Garcia made restitution to the professor and completed a pre-trial intervention program.[3] In March 2008, Garcia and two teammates were arrested and cited for underage drinking and causing a disturbance."
For drinking and being a stupid kid....not for possession of an illegal narcotic or assault. Garcia is an anomaly….not the norm.

In Oregon possession of less than an ounce is a non criminal violation subject to a fine up to $1,000. I think the speeding ticket was more than that.
I need to move to Oregon then

The ticket alone would have been subject to jail time down here.

Start packing, I know you would be welcome. How do you look dressed in green, or yellow, or black, or chrome, or ...?
Green brings out my hazel eyes and I look REALLY good in grey…

So is there anything to this story re: Jefferson, or is it one of those 'something happened ... anyway, see you at practice' situations?

Told that there would be more at 4:00, and there will be more. LSU is a program that doesn’t take these things lightly, there is no player bigger than the program. Keep in mind, we self reported the housing issue when it would of likely NEVER came out.

Well, hopefully there isn't much else too it and this just goes away. I think both Oregon & LSU fanbases can be in agreement about wanting this sort of crap to be done with as soon as possible and let's get back to playing football.

WBRZ just reported that JJ is not a suspect in the bar fight and multiple players were implicated by witnesses.
WE GOOD...JJ was not involved...nothing to see here.

Well that is unless the players involved are the ones talked about in the rumors on other boards….

My bad, just fixed it.

Has anyone asked what he was doing outside of a bar at 2:00 am when he is not even 21 yet? Just hanging out in the parking lot or had he been inside drinking?

Same thing ever college kid in Louisiana does at a bar at 18 I assume….trying to get laid….playing pool…dancing…more than likely sneeking beers that were purchased by the older players.

In Louisiana, the legal age to be inside a bar is 18 unless the bar chooses to make the minimum age requirement 21. That bar is in tigertown, an area full of college bars so like I said, getting laid on the night before his off day.

I have NO problem with a kid that is about to turn 21 in a couple of weeks sneaking some beer....the majority of college kids that don't go to BYU drinks before they are 21. s***…in Louisiana most start drinking around 17 while sitting around the camp fire.

Yeah right I do hope they get something on him and he does get kicked out of the first game because that would help my ducks out. But it probley won't happen they'll look the other way so that poor JJ doesn't get in any trouble. Also JJ has to be bigger then the program to be able to start after the season he had last year.

Ok fair enough, I wasn't aware that you could get into bars at 18 in Louisiana, as that is not the case here.
