But it doesn’t have to be. Why is it so difficult to find fans that don't take every little criticism and/or observation as an insult. For being a bunch of grown men watching a violent game...they sure do act like a bunch little HS cheerleaders about it. :lol

Well…look at it like politics. People don’t get mad that someone has a different political belief…people get mad when someone tries to them why their beliefs are wrong.

Same thing with peoples football teams…I think LSU is the greatest and the SEC is the most wonderful conference in the world...any argument to the contrary is you calling my belief wrong.

It has taken me all my adult life to learn to listen to someone’s political/religious beliefs , and when they done simply smile and say “you know those are some fair points, I can see where you are coming from” and then move on. I don’t think I will EVER be able to do that when it comes to football. Talk about how good your team/conference is all you want…start telling my yours is better than mine and the guns are coming out.

I'm sorry but the money that we pay for other teams to come in to our house pales in comparison to ticket sales, vendor contracts, merchandise sales, boost to the community businesses and I havent even mentioned savings from our own travel costs. Its just smart business.

You are correct when you say that the SEC plays more ranked teams because they are all in the SEC. Its how those ranking are given that is being challenged. Those rankings and therefore the "NC's" is the backbone of the "SEC dominance" argument. But unless any SEC fan can argue that the BCS is a great system for judging a teams strength when comparing two teams that are in different conferences, those arguments hold no weight.

In other words, if the system that ranks the teams and chooses who plays for a championship is flawed, then basing you argument on that system is flayed as well.

Therefore head-to-head match ups, common opponents, and games vs. similar levels of competition is the only decent evidence we have. In that regard the PAC10 has shown again and again that they are very comparable to the SEC, as I pointed out in the original post.

I disagree. I would state whatever the data showed to be true. This is why I did not leave anything out I that thought was reverent. If you feel I left something out, something was not reverent, or I may have skewed something, let me know. I am not above being wrong. It doesn't bother me...especially sitting behind a keyboard. Where some see an argument, I see research.

Until somebody shoots wholes in my research and/or my logic for judging conference strength, I can only draw one conclusion:

My research is through, my numbers are solid, and there are consistencies in the data, all point to the same answer....that being that the PAC10 is compatible to the SEC and the media is wrong when they say "*The SEC is the dominant."

(*When referring to on field strength. It is fair to say that the SEC has dominated the BCS system. No reasonable person can argue that!)
