I asked a friend on the team if Harp was going to transfer, He said to his knowledge that harp wasn't going anywhere.. I'll take his word for it, Plus if you think about it wouldn't harp have already transferred out if he was going to leave to K state?

The Ducks would have to grant Harper his release for him to transfer. Anything is possible
with your dealing with young adults but my money is on BB teaming up with Harper here
at The UO. Come on Monday already.

Hey, I hope I'm wrong.
Does anyone know for sure that Harper hasn't made these intentions known to the coaches and has asked for this to be kept quiet until the end of the term?
If this was you, would you want to walk around campus and deal with that?
And no, I don't think it would make sense academically for him to transfer before the end of Winter term.

Not to continue the hijacking of the thread, but there are about 3 BB threads anyway on the same subject. It would seem awfully suspicious if Harper went there and suddenly announced he was going to K. State as well. That would be mean that he had contacted K. State before being granted permission to transfer by Oregon, because how can he be certain that they would just take him. Obviously they likely would, but you can't just say you're going somewhere without ever having contact with that staff. So, I wouldn't make too much of him going there, but on some 1% chance that actually happens, I would assume some NCAA investigation would go down in the near future about another school having contact with Harper while he was enrolled elsewhere.

pointless to go KState and get smacked by team like Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.

Harper couldn't just "announce" he is going to K State. There is so much more involved. He has to first be granted his release then he could start his transfer.

His email went on to say that Oregon or K-State make a lot of sense based on what those around him say the priorities are, how much he likes Chip Kelly and Bill Snyder, etc. He also noted that in some ways he's no different from the rest of us, that we don't know what else Brown's thinking. He could say it's Tennessee and surprise everyone tomorrow. Although, to me that's looking more and more unlikely, especially if Chris Harper is going to be there tomorrow during the announcement, which is also rumored.
Sounds. Sounds like Miami is out and Tennessee is a longshot. Which means Oregon, LSU (remember, Crowton's there and I'm sure has a lot to say about the Oregon program), and Bill Snyder's is LOVED in that state and only 2 hours away. Snyder was inducted into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame a few years back. That's the venue they've chosen for the announcement. It's in Old Town in downtown Wichita.
Someone he doesn't pick is gonna get to see him anyway. Oregon plays UT in '10, and I believe K-State in '11.

I saw that posted there, and they just wrote it off saying the guy had no idea what he was talking about. Because these guys in Knoxville know more than the sports radio guy IN Wichita Kansas. But then again, who besides Brown and Butler knows?

I think at this point we can confidently say that Volnation forums hold absolutely no shred of credibility. I've heard everything from BB signing his LOI to Bryce actualy "practicing" for 15 minutes with the offense. LOFL Also, isn't it fairly clear to anyone with even a bit of intelligence that the jacket worn by BB in that picture and described on their forums is a standard issue UT team sideline coat? Hell... everyone in that photo is wearing the exact same jacket including the female. It also looks fairly generic.
Guys, it's safe to say that it's difficult to believe anything you hear about BB until he actualy announces himself tomorrow from his own mouth. I still think we lead for him and I don't think there is any credibility about Harp leaving. That is definately a dead horse being beaten excessively.

Wasn't this, word for word, an article by a newspaper reporter? So now this fan is passing this off as his own? I'm pretty sure DSN has a link to this article.
