Is he really coming here for defense?
It sounds like he's being recruited as a safety or LB but could easily move to WR should they need him there.

Yes, apparently the pitch was to make him a LB/S much like Sua Cravens was for SC. Makes sense, he's a physical kid.

CHL will be a Duck if we give him the go ahead, I just think the staff are waiting to see if their other targets fall through. Hard to say if he'll end up a duck or not at this point.

After watching his film , I'm a big CHL fan and hope he comes.

Just saw it...jeeze, he's a bully out there. I love it.

Not sure about the competition level but I want a guy with that attitude on our team.

It's not a bad league as it's full of some of the largest Catholic schools in the Bay Area. It helped produce ex-Ducks Michael Clay, Byron Marshall, Dan Fouts, Derek Loville and Igor Olshansky.

Where'd you hear that?

Seems crazy to put a guy like that on the back burner.

I think it's more likely that qb11's info on a big nsd announcement is accurate

Lenoir is definitely a silent. CHL is almost certainly a silent. Gibson is probably a silent.

As for anyone else, I don't think so/nothing seems obvious enough.

For tight end, I think the staff would be really wise to recruit 6'6, 220 Kelle Sanders who is committed to WSU as a defensive end, but he was all-league as a QB this year.

Coaches visited Falo en masse after his USC visit on a Sunday night. Makes me think he's not locked up for us.

Gibson and Lenoir are definitely silents. Not sure with CHL.

Also, Jaylon Johnson 4* DB is in the mix as well now.

If they hadn't put him on the back burner, don't you think he would've committed?

I don't like stringing kids along, but from what I've read we've got other targets at LB and S that the staff likes more...we're doing the same thing with Judson. It's hard to say what will happen at this point.

Not saying you're wrong, I don't have no sources.

It does sound to me like Judson doesn't have an offer at the moment, not sure that's the case with CHL.

But reading the tea leaves, we've got 15 spots or more to fill, and even if we do get Brooks and Johnson, a guy like CHL can play at a number of positions.

Guess we will see it play out.

Like this kids physicality. Don't know what the level he's playing at, regardless it's still impressive, if it is 5/6/7 than it is supper impressive. Reminds me of Blount with how physical he is and his up-right running.

It's the West Catholic Athletic League, which has produced some top-notch athletes.

Was reading back over the posts and missed where you posted this. Sorry for my lack of attention and maybe even laziness.

That's an impressive list of athletes that have come out of that league. Lets hope he's a Duck and the next great athlete.

St. Francis has at least 3 D-1 kids on their team alone. Bennett Williams is a complete ballhawk and has an and Illini offer. Tyler Manoa is a '18 DT who's committed to BYU but will get bigger offers once coaches see his junior tape. And Joshua Pakola is a big sophomore who looked like an up-and-coming OLB.
