I believe they are basing the CBs on the fact that Hufanga has agreed to take an official visit to USC on Dec 15th. (and has yet to agree to an official to Ducks).

She is a fickle b*tch too.
I have this weird feeling that Hufanga & Cota are going to skip on Oregon.

Can't exactly say that looks promising for us.

Does him taking an official with us really matter though? He’s been on campus and can come back whenever he wants.

There is a difference between official and unofficial in terms of access and what the school can do/show to the recruit while on the trip as well as coach interactions. In regards to Oregon and Hufanga, i dont think it is AS big of deal because he has been around so much and knows what Oregon can offer. That being said...it is a little strange he did not use take one.

This is pretty close, just a few things to add. Essentially think of an official visit as being part of the team, for the weekend they visit recruits are apart of the team. They can talk to coaches, go to meetings, walk around the facilities and talk to future, current and sometimes former players.
Oregon Live did an article either last week or the one before highlighting this kind of thing and the importance of Oregon’s big recruiting week in December.
For Hufanaga specifically, he has said (I believe to Oregon Live), that he is taking his other five visits elsewhere because he wants to be able to experience those programs because official visits are paid for. He’s been to Oregon games twice so while I think getting him for an OV would be nice, I don’t think it is an indication of whether or not he’s seriously interested in Oregon, if he doesn’t make an OV.
I do think that he would be interested in staying home, however if Oregon was Oregon State and vice versa I think the chance would be better. I believe he was an OSU fan or so people have mentioned online, so if the Beavers were a powerhouse or had the potential, I think he’d be staying home.
