Are we really comparing a coach who came from New Hampshire before Oregon vs a coach whose last stop was Alabama when it comes to recruiting? lol
I wonder if chip has changed regarding his recruiting approach. Times have really change for recruiting since he last coached cfb. This new generation of recruits are even more sensitive and if you dont roll out the red carpet for these top recruits then you are going to have an even more difficult time to sign them.ncduck wrote:If Chip had put this level of effort into recruiting, perhaps he would have beat Ohio State in the Rose Bowl and Auburn in the Champ game. Who knows, there would probably have been enough talent still around to win a second Champ game after ditching the school for the league. Maybe this change should have happened years ago.Everythingsducky wrote:What does it matter? Evidently the coaching staff rolls out a serious red carpet for some of these recruits. It is ridiculous, but hopefully it continues to work. Crazy how recruiting has changed in the last few years. Can you even imagine Kelly rolling out all the coaches, lighting up Autzen, for one player? Damn times have changed.karlhungis wrote:greenyellow wrote:
