Dior Mathis isn't visiting this weekend because playoffs began this week and has tentatively rescheduled his visit for the Civil War game.
Thanks for the update! What are your impressions on Oregon's chances at this point? He sounded like a sure thing after his unofficial during fall camp, but then seemed to back-off after BSU... Is he still leaning Ducks over the Spartans?

I personally don't know what's going on with Mathis but judging from what Mops and jhop have said, it looks more likely that he's headed for a Big Ten school. You never know how a player will react to a game visit so he could change his mind. There is hope in Mathis since he rescheduled his visit instead of just canceling it all together, which shows he still has some interest.

Dior Mathis.

*There is nothing worse than a Michigan/Midwest winter if he ends up coming for the Civil War.
*Michigan State is going nowhere.
*The Ducks could be wrapping up a Rose Bowl birth for the Civil War. (P.s. if we do play for the Rose, the Civil War game could be a HUGE recruiting weekend, What recruit wouldn't want to be a part of that!?)
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

But he's not even certain he will visit for the beaver game. If I recall correctly, scout or rivals had Dior's dad saying that he had an 80% chance of visiting Oregon.

I talked with Mike Bellotti this morning at Practice. He resonded that there are 8 recruits coming, and that they are very important ones as well. I would love to see their faces, when the hear the volume level in Autzen on Saturday. :o
