The Tennessee recruiting violation is alleged to be McDonald’s bags full of cash given to recruits, according to Dan Patrick. No idea if To’oto’o is involved. The main fired assistant in the scandal was his recruiter and position coach.

Now that Henry T. Is officially in the portal, what are our chances? I’ve seen USC, Alabama and Michigan linked to him so far.

Tootoo: USC is going hard for him. I’ve seen Texas, Georgia, and Michigan as the other contenders. We’re trying but who knows, the portal is even more opaque than recruiting.

A new intriguing portal addition: UCLA DB Elijah Gates. His final two as a recruit were UCLA and Oregon, he would have been at Oregon before we fired Helf and Co. I made him an edit at the request of one of his coaches who said Oregon was his childhood dream. Gates started some games for UCLA as a redshirt freshman, got demoted on the depth chart as a sophomore, and in 2020 played three games at safety due to injuries to other guys getting 11 tackles and 2 INTs. No idea if we’re interested, 5’10 180 and is a CB.
