Honestly he is kinda putting me off at this point. How long is going to wait? Everyone else is there, in school, practicing with the team, getting acclimated to college and what is the story already? Is he going to wait until a week before the season starts to join a team? Seems a bit to arrogant like he feels he is so good he can walk onto a college team and start with one weeks notice. Ok, good luck with that. This isn't high school.

Just my opinion. I will take the kids who bust their ass week in and week out over a dude who takes 22 months to pick a place to play. Give me a hungry, determined player who may not be as skilled in high school over a guy who is already deciding what he is going to wear to the NFL draft.

Could just be a kid that wants to make sure he makes the right decision and wants a chance to see schools in person to get a true feel for them. It’s not like he’s been committing and decommiting all over the place, or had the opportunity to take visits and chose to hold off. Don’t think this situation warrants the diva claim. The guy doesn’t talk to media or really post on social media, so I don’t see how this could be attributed to wanting attention. He just knows it’s an important decision and wants to make the right one. Don’t see how you can fault him for that.

What practice is he missing? He’ll be coming in with the rest of the kids that aren’t early enrollees.

JTT never got to take his visits, and he wanted to finish his senior year of school and basketball. That doesn’t strike me as diva behavior, considering he and his family shun publicity if anything. Huffman from 247 is the only one they talk to, and he doesn’t know what the decision is - on Nemec’s radio show he basically gave Ohio State, Washington, Oregon, and Alabama equal shots with USC having a chance as well.

It’s going to be an interesting finish. I’m still not holding out too much hope, but this would be an unbelievable coup.

I read yesterday that he's taking his first visit this weekend, I think to UW. I wish I'd copied the link to the article but I got distracted. I do remember that we're getting his 4th visit and Alabama gets his 5th.

Yup, he went to Washington last week. USC on the 14th, tOSU on the 18th, Oregon on the 20th, and Alabama the 25th.

JTT is scheduled to be in Columbus and Eugene the same day. After a week of traveling. Hopefully the staff has their best visit ever. It’s not looking great, but Mario is amazing.

So what you're really saying is that you have no background knowledge about his recruitment but because he hasn't made a decision yet you're able to stereo-type the kind of person and player he is going to be.

What's arrogant is thinking that you can make such a claim about someone while using a logical fallacy to prop up some other recruit as a means of disparaging the kid. This is really petty stuff on your part.

I'm not sure why this post was necessary, the dude was just giving his opinion. It is highly irregular to wait this long to join a team, and it's safe to say at a minimum that the kid is banking on the fact that multiple schools are holding scholarships for him while he takes trips on his very own special timetable. Whether or not that is 'arrogant' I don't know, but certainly one can be forgiven for raising the thought. Also, any time you call someone arrogant for making assumptions, your own assumptions instantly make you guilty of the same sin. Kind of a waste of time.

The truth is that fans who follow recruiting really aren't the primary focus in this process. The main question is whether waiting to commit bothers the coaches and/or his new teammates. Clearly, the best schools are not put off to the point of pulling the scholarship offers. Heck, he may have even asked if it was okay to wait so that he could take trips - we don't get to see that part. We'll see what kind of teammate he makes. Recruiting has become a year-round process with all the transfers and late additions anyway, so probably we should get used to stuff like this.

In a crazy year that kids couldn’t go see schools, I’m actually shocked JTT is the only one doing this. If I had a top ranked kid, that any school would wait for, I’d want him to make sure it was the right decision for himself. Now a 3* kid, doesn’t have that option, he has to jump on the offer or lose it.

So apparently his OV was today. It's awfully quiet out there in the ducks corner. Sounds like he had a good visit at Ohio State.

His visit is supposed to start tonight and go until Wednesday morning

Seems like he really enjoyed Ohio State, which is in line with everything we've heard on him for months.

Hopefully he has a great time with Oregon too.
