I'd be stoked if Oregon signed Dent. Good size, good speed, great instincts and is a thumper. I think he'd make a great safety.
It’s interesting that Dont’e wasn’t much of a factor in KT’s recruitment. I’m guessing it’s because a player of that stature is recruited for years, and Heyward was around longer to build that relationship and his name carried more weight at the time . Plus, Cristobal was in on that personally as much as possible and maybe you don’t want to overwhelm the kid with too many names and faces.StevensTechU wrote:Yea, I can't knock Donte's straight up recruiting ability. I hope Greenfield is able to get on the field and produce. He's a ballhawk, and has a lot of eligibility left. But yea, between what we have in this class so far and last class, I don't really see guys who fly all over the field and take the ball in the other direction. There's still time left.

Getting Korey Foreman for USC started with Dont’e recruiting him at Oregon starting in 2018 and through KT’s success in 2019. According to Williams. One could speculate that once Cristobal knew Donte better he put him on Foreman instead of a different coach being his main recruiter. In a way, Oregon helped USC get Foreman.
