Because wanting a 6'6 235 pound QB with 4.4 speed in our system is ridiculous.

I'd take Pryor. Kid is huge, fast, strong and with 3 eligible years remaining.

Have you seen Pryor throw? I couldn't care less how fast the kid is.

How long till signing day. . .and then how much longer do we have to wait it out?

I'm sorry...I love masoli as much as the rest and I was one of the few that had faith in him the whole way...as i did with clemens and dixon...but I would trade him for Pryor in a heartbeat...Saying thats a bad idea is ignorant in my opinion...you said have you seen his throwing motion...have you seen what CK does?...Pryor might have won the heisman this year and we might have been in the NC...did you watch the USC vs tOSU game?...Pryor was the only one that did anything and he was pretty much unstopped by USC the only problem is they only played him very little in that game

I was thinking more about the Texas game. When tOSU needed a pass, they brought in the other QB and moved TP over. I don't think that approach works long term.

I don't think it will be necessary. It was his true freshman season after all. Pryor has a lot more potential than Masoli. Pryor has 3 more seasons to play. Masoli may have the better head. But if Pryor gets his head on straight he will end up being something Masoli could only dream of. I'd take Pryor with no second thoughts.

Amen. Masoli could pass before he got here but had to adjust to the level of play as the season wore on. During the Fiesta, Pryor was being subbed by a guy who could throw down field passes.

Does Pryor have potential? Yes.
Does Pryor have poor passing mechanics? Yes.
Does Masoli have potential? Yes.
Does Masoli have poor mechanics? No, but sometimes he makes errant decisions off of his back foot. Masoli throws better looking deep balls than anyone since Akili. His lack of height is his only major liability, but it makes him a pretty tough runner too and potentially less prone to injury in our system.

Was there something inadequate about Masoli setting the rushing record by an Oregon QB? Hell, if Masoli had more guys who could catch the football rather than making some routine passes look like the ball was greased, his passing stats would have been better in every game he played save for the Civil War.

I'd rather have Masoli than Pryor because Masoli wanted to be a Duck.

We should all be happy that after dixon left, and with all of the QB injuries this past year the staff found a talented guy like Masoli to come in and make an impact like he did!! Just think about how well he will be performing this YEAR!!
