Would he need to put on weight to play strong safety?Duck07 wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 10:35 amWatching his Jr year HUDL highlights I didn't see much that screams Free Safety but SS/Box Safety. Of course there's still a lot of time for him to develop his coverage skills, but right now where he stands out the most on tape is his run-stopping from the back end, recognizing plays and reacting quickly followed by putting him at press corner to be physical with a team's top wr.OregonFan4Life wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 8:15 am I watched some highlights, holy smokes that kid is fast! I’m guessing he’ll probably play free safety (though he might be a tiny bit short) but could easily play strong safety too! He’s a very dynamic athlete.

He's not skinny/thin and I don't see his size as an issue in any way at either Safety spot. Jevon was always a solid tackler for us despite never being a bulky guy because form and desire for contact are the biggest things you need.OregonFan4Life wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 1:56 pmWould he need to put on weight to play strong safety?Duck07 wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 10:35 amWatching his Jr year HUDL highlights I didn't see much that screams Free Safety but SS/Box Safety.
