I don't know a lot about NET but seeing as to who is on top, my assumption is it's the same issue.

Generally a fan over statistical models, KenPom is using a lot of data from last year, which is why you see Alabama and UConn far ahead of Oregon.
Is there a better current statistical model for ranking college basketball teams? This is the best one I know of and I assume it will improve as the season progresses further. I don't know how NET works, but it's got the Ducks at #59 and Creighton at 11 (https://www.cbssports.com/college-baske ... kings/net/)!
The first NET rankings using only this year's results are out. Oregon is #15, with Alabama being two spots ahead at #13, Texas A&M is #43, Oregon State #49 and SDSU is #60.

And the Ducks have jumped to #12 in the AP poll and #10 in the coaches'.

Biggest jump I can ever remember for mens hoops. Early season hoops rankings are generally such a reach. BIG play is definitely going to be interesting entering a new conference. Moving to Direct TV this week with the BIG network, so will be able to watch other BIG teams for a change.

My hope is that the Pac 12 was already a pretty vast conference so the travel burden is less for us than it is for the other schools to come visit us now.
