Does doubt marinate in the minds of Tech tonight knowing Bye teams are 0-5?

Ryan Day has a Mario Cristobal problem.
He does, doesn't he? That's pretty funny. Mario shows up and exposes Ohio State's weaknesses.

You've typically got to be the more physical team than OSU to beat them and Miami knocked the snot out of them tonight on both sides of the ball.

He certainly does.

Couldn’t help but root for Miami all game. I’ve enjoyed rooting against Mario, especially because he obliges so often, but I’m glad they won. Good for him for rebuilding that program.

Same. And I don't feel bad for OSU experiencing the bye-week slump, it was easy to root for Mario this game.

That’s five bye week teams in a row losing now, going back to last year.

I would've preferred the paycheck that comes with a Big Ten team winning, and annoyed that an all-Big Ten final is out already, but tOSU isn't a fanbase I cherish so all good.

I wasn’t sure who I was going to root for until the game was on and I definitely found myself rooting for Miami. Can’t wait to hear Ryan Day cry about the long break after their fanbase discredited that excuse for Oregon last year. Clearly the long break is an issue but we’ll see if there is competent enough leadership to fix it or if they’ll continue chasing money at the expense of the integrity of the sport.

Whomever wins Georgia - Ole Miss should dress in Stanford uniforms for the Fiesta Bowl. That’s a guaranteed W against Mario.

Ohio st out this early is for the sanity of the other fanbases probably the best result for everyone

Glass half full, Oregon won't have to cover Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate. Oregon would have a better chance against Miami in the finals than Ohio State, in my opinion.

Maybe that opinion is wrong, though. Ohio State put up 13 on Indiana, 14 on Texas, and 14 on Miami. They definitely weren't the same squad as last year.

I also struggled with whom to root for and, like some of you, it felt weird to ultimately land on Miami. I think mostly that it just feels better to have tOSU out of it after being #1 for almost the entire year.
