That's actually called a grey shirt, but you can't actually enroll at the school. You can take some core classes at LCC or so and work around the program. Dixon did it.

It doesn't sound like Boyd wants to take a grey shirt however.

No, there is such thing as a medical redshirt. A grey shirt is not enrolling, a medical RS is where you enroll but are granted an extra year because of an injury that keeps you out for a whole year. And you can only medical RS then RS. If you redshirt first then take the medical RS, the medical RS doesn't help.

I doubt Tajh will want to wait two seasons to even have an opportunity to compete tho

I'm sort of curious as to why Mops still thinks Oregon is ahead. I hate to sound negative, but in the most recent Scout article with Tim Boyd his quotes were not encouraging. He mentioned how distance was the biggest factor, and how it would be expensive to just pack up and move out to the West Coast. He also mentioned the strong Christian values of Clemson's HC Dabo Swinney. I would hate to lose him to Clemson because their coach is Christian...so what? But at this point, who knows what Tajh is really thinking? Seems like every Scout article is just spinning the quotes however they want it to.
