I'm sure this was targeted at me and it's okay. The problem I have is this Pontius. First off in C4Q's infancy it was more like a group of guys talking about ducks football. Now the group has grown 5X. I admire all arguments when supported with some basis. I also support people not viewing our current recruiting class as positively as I do. But it's just that ALL of the negativity that is coming out lately coupled with some lame name calling kind of ridiculous. Now some people have been somewhat harsh to D1watcher saying he's pimping Andre Harris, whatever. Unlike 98% of this board, D1 usually posts a unique article/link/story that nobody here would normally find. He's a great contributor, you may not like what he always has to say or who he likes or what the article says, but fact is he is a contributor unlike many who just post opinions.
Lately I've heard more requests for Mops' sources than I ever did when it was still C4Q. Has the guy not earned some trust? Show him some respect. Anyways I'm off of my soap box. Feel free to post away, I only ask that we keep it in a courteous manner, as opposed to attacking our brethren of fellow Duck fans.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying especially regarding d1watcher. I never quite understand why people question his loyalty. And that's really the gist of what I am getting at. We have people coming down on other posters for having an opinion that may contrarian. I've seen this forum grow from its infancy and I actually think it is FAR better now than it was then. Like some other posters have stated, they appreciate the differing viewpoints that go along with discourse. I think more information and insight is being provided on this site than ever before. I don't want it going back to how it was. I don't want to see posters being called out and asked to leave just because they are coming from a different platform. I saw this back on the old board and it really bothered me. Anyway, I too value the contributions of everyone. I wasn't really speaking to you in my previous post JHOP. You have always had a very pleasant way of delivering your message and I don't want you to think I was calling you a hypocrite or mocking you.

And Mops does deserve a lot of respect. As well as TK1 and AJ_U. You couldn't ask for a more balanced group of mods. I do, however; find it disrespectful to compare this to the Olive forum. :) Keep that in mind the next you think about posting it.

P.S. I can understand how I can come across as a jerk, but a lot of that has to do with taste. I will admit, I might have poor taste. But I honestly don't mean anything personal by it.

Many posters have decided that if you disagree with anything a mod says (be it about recruiting, personal opinion or whatever) then your a "jerk" or a "d-bag" and need to leave the forum. I find it funny that most of the posters calling names and being rude are the ones that are on the "good" side. If you're not on that side then you're a Negaduck. It's just amusing to me.

That makes sense...but on the other hand why be negative just to be negative?? Has this class missed out on some good players..yes. Is it the end of the world or of Ducks football? No. Wonder if anyone will be complainin come LOI day and Gaines and Diante sign with the Ducks. I am sure there will be some.

^^^He's not an east coast kid, he's from Kansas, a place where we've had decent success in the past few years. That being said, who cares if someone has a differing opinion, that's the point...to express your thoughts and hear those of others

I truly enjoy all posts on this board, whether I agree or not, because it gives us all a different perspective. Unless you're Mike Bellotti, Chip Kelly or the actual players we talk about, we're all in the same boat - just an opinion and all are welcome to share it. I tend to be on the more positive side, but some guys need to lay it all out even if it is perceived as negative. I think it's great we have so many passionate Duck fans. GO DUCKS!!
