I'm glad it isn't one of us who is responsible for recruiting this late in the season... Not a dang thing would get started, let alone finished, with the amount of debate is going on.

Rudy Fernandez is not a huge weapon on offense.

and he made Jason Richardson look like an All Star when he was on the court.

Rudy Fernandez is not a huge weapon on offense.

When Rudy grows a pair & shoots with confidence he is. He sure as hell wasn't one in the playoffs though.

2 of the recruits that have been mentioned as visiting are Tyrone Nared and Brady Heslip. I don't know who the 3rd recruit is since there really hasn't been any talk of other 2010 recruits besides Nared and Heslip. Maybe it's Paul McCoy, who is from Grant HS in Portland and is looking to transfer from SMU. He's developed into a good player, averaging about 13 ppg last season until he tore his ACL at the end of the season. That may limit his choices since not many schools want players who are rehabbing from a torn ACL.

Are we sure it's even someone from the 2010 class? It could be someone from next year's class. If it is someone from this year's class, I really can't think of any players that I would see as Pac-10 quality.

Yea, it has to be a 2011 kid, unless it's a "preferred" walkon. There aren't any other Oregon kids in this class who are Pac 10 caliber who are uncommitted.

There are a couple of intriguing possibilities in the Oregon class of 2011... power forwards Kyle Wiltjer (Jesuit) and Austin Kueper (Westview) both of whom are in the top 60 on ESPN's rankings.

Altman would probably love one of these guys.

I'm thinking it's Wiltjer since he seems to be really interested in Altman and it's about the time that juniors start taking some visits.

Wiltjer is a 5 star on Rivals, a 4 star on Scout, with a 95 rating from ESPN. That's pretty rarified ranking for an Oregon-grown prospect. At 6'9"/225-ish, he definitely has the size to handle the high post Altman seems to favor.

Kuemper is 6'9"/240-ish, if Rivals is correct. ESPN currently has him rated at 87.

Of the 2, my money is on Wiltjer, who was recently quoted as having some interest in Oregon. A couple of his AAU teammates would be a nice plus if it could be a package deal...

I think people need to pony up the small 9 a month to DT if they want the info and TK needs to stop pooching the info and saying stuff like "I'm not at liberty to say but its not him"
