haha ok mr swag smarty pants
so i confused casey with his brother clay
And ok maybe Byrd and Thurmound weren't "true" freshmen
But i assure you "TJIII" was picked on ... BSU learned of Walter Thurmounds groin injury and had the game plan, to go out and pick on the corner that would be replacing him.
How can someones mother be picked on? during a football game?

"everyone and their mother" its a figure of speech, I'm sure you've heard it before...
as for the game.. safeties, corners, linebackers... they all got lit up... all of them had some serious coverage issues, not just Talmadge. Moore completed a pass to 11 different BSU players.

My 2 cents -
Coach B likes to play a number of true freshmen and played about 8 or 9 this year, if I remember right - maybe that was the year before - whatever.
I might look for 1 freshman OL to get into the rotation (although on the surface it appears that we have a good stockpile of talent there) - Benyard, because of his shear size might seem the logical choice, but size and strength don't necessarily go hand in hand. My sleeper for a debut season on the OL is Karrington Armstrong (6'2, 296) from Reno - mostly because of his wrestling prowess - footwork, baby! Only drawback might be his height vis a vis leverage at the guard position - wouldn't be surprized to see him moved to the DL, however.
Does Daryle Hawkins get a shot at QB as a true frosh while DThomas gets in a "real" RS season?
Harris likely wil see action as a nickel or dime back.
Avery Patterson same scenario.
My fave newcomer/sleeper overall would be JC DE Zac Clark - kid with a nonstop motor.
