That's a very nice stat, although Porter is a one dimensional player.

Look I never said that EK hasn't brought great things to Oregon basketball because he has. But what I am saying is AT THIS TIME it is easy to recruit to Oregon. I suppose what I should have said is after* this season it should be a lot easier to recruit because of the new arena. I suppose my central theme of my last post would have been that I totally disagree with EK's end of game strategy because TP isn't a closer like Brooks, Jackson, Ridinour or Jones were. I think it is time for a change in Eugene. EK has brought great things to eugene but it is time for a change.

I agree to a point duckgrad...I don't think it has to do with being better when TP is gone I think it has to do with being better when have a go to guy thats not him...If someone thats here becomes that or if we get Jamil and he becomes that I think TP is a huge asset because they have to focus on another player ala his freshmen year when he carried us through the NCAA tourney, He's a game changer but he's not a star and go to player.

Finally a basketball topic we can agree on.

I personally love TP. He's doing the best he can for his stature & strength. I feel bad that he has to be "the guy" at times because he just can't be. Bring in or develop (I forgot, Ernie doesn't develop ) another player to be the star of the team & TP is all of a sudden your best player, without actually having to be. Like his freshman year, he obviously wasn't the star player on the team but there were times when you coulda fooled me.

That's a great point Pudge...I don't think Porter's regressed like some of us would like to believe as much as he just shouldn't be THE guy. He's deadly behind the arc when he's on, but way too streaky and not good enough off the dribble to be the focus of an offense
