Regarding Winston. Sucks at the last minute. That said, he has the measurables but the effort was seriously lacking. I have doubts he’ll live up to his rankings. We’ll see. I wonder/hope they saw this coming and have a backup plan of some sorts.

I disagree. Saw him play twice, more impressive of an athlete than La'Mar. A physical freak, and to be honest looked like a better HS player than La'Mar, and he's a starter for us.

When he wanted to play, yes. I saw him many times over his CC career. What I said is the knock on him by most others. There were games when he just disappeared. Won’t see the field at SC if he doesn’t change.

Not a great update from Justin. No definitive good news.

He's really not confident on anyone because USC lurking makes him nervous, based on all the other head-to-head battle Oregon has lost with them over the years.

Basically. Oregon is currently at 53 scholarship players with technically 20 recruits committed (TQ is as good as gone until his legal issues are over) in the 2018 class, bringing them up to 73 total players. Add in DJ Johnson and they're up to 74. They're hoping to get at least 4 more players so they're closer to 80 but it's sounding more like it'll be only 2-3 more 2018 guys. There may also be a handful of transfers out so they could be right back at or below 75. This lack of numbers may be why they're looking at taking multiple grad transfers just to have depth at certain positions.

Interesting since the "incident" happen when he was a sophomore. There is no legal issue.

My issue with Winston is that it doesn't appear he has Pac-12 linebacker speed. I think he ran a near 4.9 40. That's terrible.

La'Mar ran around a 4.6, for comparison.

Looks like the end of recruiting has gotten Leavitt to break his Pepsi-free month.

I've moved Quitoriano into the decommit list since it'd be a real surprise to have him sign.
