Women’s Basketball has been in the dumps for some time. They are trying to rebuild to their former championship play this season with a new coach. Might take a while

Lol, I can easily believe that! I look at this thread once every couple of weeks, while I can see no reason to delete it, it is humorous that some NDSU fans can spend so much energy on a game so far away for so many months.... do they have any other sports to cheer for or talk about? Does NDSU have GOOD Basketball or Baseball team?....... track? Chess?...... ice fishing? Until August then.
Reported on basketball. Headed to NCAA rnd 1. Just beat gophers at baseball. That score brought a demand to lock the thread down. I was on the NDSU chess team and ice houses are off the lakes, not a college sport but fun for many. Weather wasn’t good to the ice this year. Too much snow on the first ice kept it from making good ice and caused slushy conditions. Resorts suffering, seeking government bailouts. See you in August. Thanks for dropping by.

Since football is a team sport I looked at team rushing stats. NDSU #4 in the FCS with 287 yds/game. You will see a lot of running backs. Some big, some small, some shifty all good.

Oregon rushing D was #13 only allowing 1500 yds, 5 TDS and 108 yds/game.

Oregon wasn’t in the top 50 FBS teams rushing.

NDSU rushing defense allowed 136 yds/game. The Ducks might get that. Don’t know yet if The Bison get 280. Probably not but they won’t need 280 to win. We know that magic number through the GAM. Sorry don’t have it on hand but could show you the nightmare box score if you wish.

Gotta give it to you boys, you are relentless. Curious, since we are comparing irrelevant stats, how do your rushing stats compare to the ND state high school champs? I’d hate to be in your shoes if you had to play them.

Other games that day include USC vs Alabama, Purdue vs Nebraska, West Virginia vs FSU, Ole Miss vs Baylor, and Michigan at Washington. Oregon against NDSU won't even be the most interesting game in the Pacific Northwest.

JBB has to be a troll, at first I thought he was just an idiot, and maybe he still is, but after his most recent comments about the national audience the game will bring in, Oregon saving face, and other NDSU sports, it seems to me he's just a lame troll.

Very clearly a troll.

I mean JBB is giving us some offseason activity, which is generally non-existent this time of the year. So ban or allow?

As of now, he's stirring the pot a bit but not really doing anything to be completely disruptive. If people don't want to read his stuff, they can easily put him on their ignore list.

Yes, he is. But on this site at least, he's effective. With 26 pages and over 20,000 views, the intelligence of his posts doesn't seem to matter. If you don't want to attract trolls, don't feed them.

Depends on what you mean by "most interesting." From the perspective of implications on the CFP and the FBS landscape, it's probably the least interesting... unless NDSU pulls off a win. Then it becomes quite interesting indeed.

From the perspective of understanding the entire college football landscape, I feel it is a pretty interesting game -- even if I weren't a fan of NDSU. It will definitely offer some insight into how much of a gap exists between the best FCS team and one of the top FBS teams. NDSU is becoming a recognized brand through their success in DI football over the past decade or so. Certainly not on the same level as a top FBS team, but I'm still surprised how many people stop me in airports and random places across the country to call out an NDSU logo on my cap or other gear. Typically the reaction is, "Wow, you guys are really fun to watch" or "You guys have a really good team!" Often with a big smile and an indication that they are paying attention to the Bison.

There is a reason why ESPN designated this as one of their ten most intriguing games of the 2020 college football season: https://www.espn.com/college-football/s ... ane-kiffin

ESPN and FOX have to leave two games every year for the PAC12 networks for each team. Because of the 9 conference games and Ohio State on the UO schedule, this could very easily end up on PAC12. Hope you don't have DirecTV.

?? Not sure what you're getting at here. I'll be driving down to the game from Seattle, so it really makes no difference to me how it is aired. But the point is that it is designated as an "intriguing" game by ESPN. I was responding to maxduck who implied it wasn't a very interesting game. ESPN disagrees, for whatever that is worth.

If we live in this warped reality then exactly how much do you think you’ll beat us by? Can’t wait to start burning the foie gras.

I’ll do $1k on straight up on W/L. I’m willing to go higher, don’t want to scare you off. I don’t bet against the spread.

My conditions: money goes into an escrow account this week.
So not by much. I thought not. By the way, I woulda done waaay more than $1k. Thanks for helping me out the truth.

Sooo you in? I’ll put in $1k into an escrow account tomorrow, just to see if you’re all talk. I’ll post the screenshot tomorrow.

I’ll even sweeten the bet: $250 to the charity of your choice if the Ducks lose. Nothing extra from you if the Byezon lose.
So, did he put up or shut up?
