With him being from the Sacramento area and having a name like Arroyo, I thought he was Mexican/Hispanic. Either must have some Poly/New Zealander in him or he's just really fond of the Haka and Poly culture.

Could have Portuguese heritage, Hispanic sounding names, but from island nations.

I'm not sure what the situation actually is, but theoretically it could be nothing more complicated than having a Hispanic father and a Polynesian mother. For example, we all know a famous former teammate of Cristobal is half-Polynesian, but you'd think with a cursory glance that someone named Dwayne Johnson from the Oakland area is African-American.
