I am sure a lot of that can be blamed on our offense, but our defense certainly didn't do themselves any favors with their performance on 3rd down.

True. I think I remember that we had the most snaps on defense out of all the teams in the Pac-10. You would think that there would be plenty to go around with as fast as the offense scores

I agree. The offense scored so quickly many times which gave the opponent the ball more often, however the big thing that stands out was the defense giving up first downs a lot on third and long situations.

I know what you mean. It kills me to see the other team in 3rd and 7 and just know that we are going to give them at least 8 (with a 5 yard cushion on the WR's).
