Bama added a top DE and a top CB today so they might be pushing out the guys that are visiting us.

Re: Potential late period signees/visitors
They've got 7 DEs and 4 CBs committed. While a couple of the DEs will end up as OLBs at Alabama, that's still a very stacked depth chart. With 28 total commits and them looking at adding recruits at other positions, I'm sure they're probably hoping some of their unsigned commits to go elsewhere.lukeyrid13 wrote:Bama added a top DE and a top CB today so they might be pushing out the guys that are visiting us.

4* USC WR commit has gotten an Oregon offer. It'll be interesting to see how much interest he has in Oregon and potentially BYU and Utah (who've been trying to get him to stay in UT):

UW is also trying to sign him.
He's very close with the Sewells.

Hopefully the fact he played with the Sewells at Orem HS helps Oregon's cause.Phenom wrote:UW is also trying to sign him.

Re: Potential late period signees/visitors
With Nacua the word is that UW and Utah have the best chance of flipping him. UW really struck out on WR recruiting this year. But going up against those two schools, if we can get him on an official visit then I'd think we have a chance. I think UW is really underestimating how mediocre their WR group is. They got two high end prospects last year, but neither played.
I'd like some of the defensive prospects more. We have at least one I know that we're holding on the back burner/slow playing, so it seems like the staff is confident that they can get some of our more high end prospects.
For grad transfers, it looks like Mario followed Colgate LB TJ Holl. It's hard to find reliable stats for FCS level guys but he's racked up some honors and now getting FBS offers. We could use an experienced LB.
Chigozie Nnoruka, the UCLA DL, is another one. 295 pounds, had almost 50 tackles in 2017.
The problem with grad transfers, if I'm not mistaken on the new rule, is that they have to graduate with their grad degree or you get charged a scholarship for the following year as well. So unless you're sure the kid is going to graduate or you think he's worth two years of scholarships it becomes riskier.

Also, USC lost a 5* current player today who said he’d like to grad transfer.

Re: Potential late period signees/visitors
So it looks like Ford could still potentially be had if he doesn't like the status of the offensive staff:
