Spanish Fort Athlete Kris Abrams-Draine - The do-it-all prospect, who moved to quarterback as a senior and used his dynamic rushing ability to get the Toros to the Class 6A title game, says he remains committed to Ole Miss through its coaching transition. However, several programs are lining up to get visits out of the four-year varsity starter who projects as a wide receiver in college. Nebraska will get the first visit (January 17) and Florida State (January 31) will get the final trip. Oregon and Missouri, each campaigning for the weekend of January 24, could also host Abrams-Draine before National Signing Day.

Watching Kris Abrams-Draine and Malachi Wideman highlights, the Ducks will have landed a big fish with either one. Both are top-level athletes. Both visit January 24.

Looks like 4* WR Leonard Manuel has put Oregon in his final four. He's committed to Florida but is still looking around.

Manuel is a clear peg or two below Draine and Wideman. I think like Drain the most.

We can probably take TE Jack Yary off the list, if we were pursuing. At the Poly Bowl he said he’s down to Washington, USC, and ASU. We could have really used a TE this class, I wonder if there’s anyone else worth pursuing.

I'd really like to know how this recruitment has shaken out. Hasn't really seemed like the Ducks pushed hard for him, but rather had him as a backup. Backup to who? I don't know. And now he's moved on.

I get the feeling that if they get a TE, it's going to be grad transfer. Would have said McKitty but he announced yesterday that he's headed to Georgia.

Yeah, TE recruiting has been really weird. I think we would have had a really good shot at Yary if we would have pursued him.

There are rumors that DJ Johnson might move to TE for spring ball and see how it goes.

Dang, good catch on DJ Johnson. He had 14 tackles, 5 for loss, and 2 sacks. Probably a bigger role coming in 2020 with Bryson Young gone, but we have more depth there than at TE. Considering his size and speed combination he can be a bigger difference maker at TE, I kind of hope it's happening.

Really gotta hope Patrick Herbert is ready or Webb becomes a better blocker.

With how much we use our TE's it's crazy we can't recruit better there, especially with the tradition of good TE's we have.
