As far as value goes, I think the Sonics had the best pick. Wayman Tisdale will instantly produce for them and at the age of 21, he is much younger than other players drafted in his range. If he grows, he can become a monster
Of course.
No one likes Drexler or Malone.
Malone is only one of the top 15 players of all time.
Both were mid 1st. Of course they were great. Reading past draft results will help you. Top picks that were busts matter. They were top players coming into the draft. Not league. We’re still trying to recreate them players but the game doesn’t always agree
So are draft files created from their scouting reports or their league performance / a little bit of both? I understand injury related busts like Bowie but what about like Michael Olowokandi?

He will be a top rated prospect. But top prospects who played well in RL will get preferential treatment
Super cool...so who writes these scouting reports for us? Haha
Typically I evaluate top 5 prospects from each positions and Ownage does rest. Notes just help GMs know what type of player they are looking at

At the very least- Alfredrick Hughes is one of the best names in the draft.

The production/notes are all a balancing act. Last rendition, I draft Kent Bazemore and he was a monster despite being an average player.

I think most of us would pick Drexler or Malone. It's hard to pass up either of those guys. The other issue is that if you trade down trying to get Malone later on, everyone else will also be very tempted to take him, so there's no guarantee he will be there.

Even in this draft, I really wanted Xavier McDaniel. He was drafted 4th overall and averaged 16 PPG in RL, but I needed a PG so I went with Porter who was drafted near the end of the 1st in RL His notes were probably a little better though

Didnt say I did not like him. Just surprised he went ahead of Tisdale. Tisdale will be better in years 1 & 2 and depending on his growth, Malone could surpass him after that point.

Keith lee. I figured he'd drop b/c he's a win-now guy and most of top 17 picks are rebuild type teams.

I miss being a crappy team and having the draft to look forward to. Making draft lists and trying to make draft-day trades are super fun.

I'm glad I made my pick because all of my other guys were picked like immediately after mine so I woulda been screwed had I moved down.

Add me to the list who wanted Lee, though I'm happy with Catledge too, probably has a chance to be better than Lee, but I wanted that inside scoring punch off the bench for when Sikma has to sit.
