What IS Mario's pitch to these former Oregon commits and their families?
"Remember all that great stuff I told you about coming to Oregon? You know, forget about that, I drank too much cough syrup that day. No, really, all that good stuff I said about there? Not really. Cross the country to go to Miami is really it, seriously trust me."

Um physicality here at Miami will be a better physicality.

I know this is obvious, but it is interesting to me that being good at recruiting seems to go hand in hand with being a dirtbag.

He won’t be a dirtbag until he leaves us
But for now he’s our dirtbag. Although he’s yet to wow with me with recruiting since the best player in his class signed with Arizona. Not Bama or Clemson or USC but a loser Arizona program.

Hard to fault a guy that had no prior relationship with a kid for not being able to sway him in 3 days. Not to mention, he hasn’t had time to hire a WR coach. MacMillan was clearly intent on signing in the early period, so what are ya gonna do. He’d rather play with his friends than win. So be it.
