Just look at how hard it is for them to get 3 points to tie this game up.

OSU missed a chip shot 28 yard FG with around 2:30 left in the game. That ended up costing them a shot at winning the game.

Sure, and after Indiana converted that 3/8 to get into OSU territory with 2 minutes left in the game they were in a great position to try for a FG themselves if they needed to.

OSU lost because Indiana was the better team last night so don't let anyone fool you into thinking it was because of a missed kick.

In a freak incident, Indiana defensive end Stephen Daley, who leads in the Big Ten in tackles for loss despite not getting a ton of snaps until the second half of the season, injured his leg while high-fiving fans after the Big Ten championship. He's out of the playoffs now, and considering he himself was filling in for an injured starter, means Indiana is going into the playoff with a hole on their defensive line.

For those who wonder how Indiana gets it done without 'talent,' Daley is a defensive end who ran a 10.85 100m in high school. That's as fast as most of our wide receivers.

You hate to see injury issues late in the season with these non-blue bloods because depth is always a problem. Oregon losing both starting wideouts before the national championship game vs Ohio State comes to mind. Hopefully Indiana has a solid replacement that can get up and ready by the time they play.

Interestingly, Daley actually had 0 tackles in the Duck game. I wonder if the Ducks were really keying on him, which allowed other Hoosier defenders to have really productive games.

He was playing behind Kellan Wyatt, who then got injured the next week against Michigan State.

Side topic, I wonder if it's time for coaches to tell players to stop any celebrations that would involve a player leaving his feet. No more jumping high fives, jumping hip bumping, etc.

I know that celebration injuries aren't nearly as common as those that happen on the field, but there've been enough over the past few years to where it's become an issue that should be dealt with.

I seem to recall that holder Joey Harrington inadvertently injured kicker Nathan Villegas's leg in celebrating Villegas's late game-tying FG v. USC in 1999 (a game the Ducks eventually won in 3 OTs). I think it might have been a knee injury and IIRC it knocked Villegas out for the rest of the season.
