Illinois beats Tennessee in the first bowl match-up between the Big Ten and SEC this year. I was watching an interview several weeks ago of a guy who played in both conferences and they asked him which was harder. His answer was interesting: he said the SEC had a challenging game every week so it never felt like you had a week off in conference. Then he added that having said that, the Big Ten always seemed to win the bowl games. This is a past player, but the experience he described seems to be true today as well.

Anyway, Big Ten still undefeated in Bowl Games. Pretty impressive. USC up next.

So much for ESPNSEC talking point that the middle of the SEC is better than every one else and that’s what makes them the toughest conference in the country. I don’t want to hear the opt outs/transfer bs either. All teams are dealing with it.

Though it's just bowl games, it will likely impact the preseason top 25 for next year which does have a material effect on the rest of the season.

Things are all aligned for USC to be the first Big Ten team to lose in the bowls, just like god intended.

I’ve said it before, two teams I will never root for are the fuskies and the spoiled bitches of USC and tOSU is close to being added. Don’t care if it hurts or helps the Ducks the conference or CFB.

All teams are dealing with it, but it still makes a difference. Look at USC without Lemon and Lane. Not the same offense at all, and not representative of how good they were at the end of the regular season when the Ducks played them. I assume the same is true of some of these SEC teams. Their saying 'It just means more' seems to ring hollow when so many of their players sit out bowl games.

I wonder how these decisions affect their NIL deals.

And USC loses off one of the worst tackling efforts I’ve ever seen, that is so fitting for USC.

Iowa doing Iowa things to the southeastern conference's best offense. 14-3 at halftime.

It's too early for the Big Ten to declare victory, but if Iowa beats Vanderbilt, a lot of SEC shills are going to have some explaining to do. How many times were we told that Oregon beating Iowa at their own place meant nothing and that Alabama and Texas beating Vanderbilt should catapult them into the playoffs?

The ESPN talking heads will find excuses and 95% of the fanbase doesn’t know any better so they just take whatever crap talking heads like Paul Finebaum, Kirk Herbstreit, and Joey Galloway say as factual, and they will DEFINITELY come out with the excuses and argue that the SEC is the superior conference to the B1G.

It also dawned on me a few days ago that if Indiana beats Alabama and if the winner of Ohio State vs Miami beats the winner of Georgia vs Ole Miss, the SEC will have 0 playoff wins against other power 4 conferences. Their only playoff wins will be against each other and G6 opponents (Tulane).
