My friend's dad is Greg Specht and he caught the game-winning TD in the greatest comback ever vs UCLA sometime around the 70's

Hermistonduck= I was always the only kid in my high school who would sport Oregon gear on a regular basis(family thing, grandparents, parents, sister, cousins, aunt, uncle all attended Oregon) so I was born and raised a duck in a black and orange enviroment.. (everyone up there is rodent fans because of the large number of people who work in the agricultural field thus they attended OSWhoo to get their degrees) Needless to say by the time I graduated from the high school I had converted quite a few people to the good guys and now several of my friends plan on joining me/or have already joined me attending UofO.

Re: Where'd you get your name from?
My pretty straight forward...
Briar (Briarfield)....the street I live on (plus I love that it sounds like briarpatch from the kids kids stories because my kids love it!)
and Duck...well its just like the rest of us!
My old handle was the area in LA I lived in "Ladera Heights" right beside Culver City and I just stayed with the same theme.
Its very interesting seeing all the different handles and the reason behind them!
Good stuff gang and GO DUCKS!!

Canada + Duck, grew up a big ducks fan because when I was first getting into football I happened to catch a Ducks game on tv, how that happened I'll never know based on where I live, but I've been following them ever since and next season is going to be the best so far.

Re: Where'd you get your name from?
I'm actually from Windsor, Ontario, so I didn't have to travel as far as most to see the whooping we put on Michigan in the Big House. I don't have satellite so the regional coverage kills me, I end up having to watch Iowa vs Wisconsin while the Ducks play at 3:30 over here or later so I have to get the laptop out and either hope for a live stream or gamecast. I'll never forget the look on everyone's face in the Big House. It was amazing to witness (I still youtube the fake statue of liberty probably once a month) and my friend, a Michigan fan, was amazed by how many Duck fans came all the way to Ann Arbor. If all those Duck fans can make the trip to Ann Arbor, I'm sure I can make a trip to Eugene, I have to experience Autzen for myself. I'm actually considering Grad School at Oregon in a couple years, so I can be a true Duck lol.briarduck wrote:What part? Re: Where'd you get your name from?
My name is a shorter version of a shorter version of a shorter version of a screen name I had for a website a long time ago. Irishmophead2k2. It then went to Mophead2k2. Then to Mophead. Then what it is now, Mops.
The reason i have the mop part is because that is what the Lukes were called when here at Oregon. Their hair style, the shaggy curly style, was called a mophead, and I grew mine out in HS like that when they played here for Kent and I got the nickname mophead.
